Spring Workshops

Breakdance with Shanner Escalanti of Tangledroots.

Friday nights at Art on the Edge

6:00-6:45 3rd-6th grade

6:45-7:30 7th-12th grade

Students will work on basic to advanced breakdance moves and develop a routine with their team.

$60 for six week class. (Due before the start of first class)

Native American Flute Making Workshop

When: March 20th, 27th, April 2nd and 9th Slide10

Time: 4:30-5:30 pm

Who: Youth K thru 6th. Kids 2nd grade and younger need to be accompanied by an adult

Where: Art on the Edge Studio, 1416 N. 1st Street, Coeur d Alene, ID

Learn to make and play a Native American style flute.  Decorate your flute with personal symbols and play the story they tell
The flutes will be constructed from PVC (plastic) pipe which allows the teaching of the basic construction of the flute, sounds great, and is easy to decorate and play.

Instructor: Karolyne Smith Rogers, Ph.D.

Karolyne  brings a varied background to her activities.  Her life-long belief in the celebration of differences is reflected in her work history. She has been approved by the Salish Tribe in Montana to teach with elders of the tribe during their annual camp which invites students from Salish Kootenai College and their families to learn tradition skills of the tribe. She has been participating for the past 15 summers in this event.

 $30 per student  (Due before the start of first class, scholarships by request)
